A Colorful, Classic Renovation

This exquisite home renovation became an arduous labor of love spanning three years. We worked with our clients to craft a truly bespoke kitchen, living room, and first-floor bathroom, transforming the entertaining spaces into a haven that graciously accommodates gatherings of five adult children, their friends, and extended family for regular game nights and family dinners. The kitchen boasts an 8′ custom concrete island, artfully positioned atop walnut cabinetry from Italy. The client’s affinity for purple found its way into the design with a sophisticated plum paint and eggplant accents. Leaning into our signature mix of vintage charm with modern opulence, the limewash walls and tin ceilings complement classic light fixtures and tastefully curated vintage accessories, harmoniously juxtaposed with state-of-the-art appliances. We designed a “new” antique cabinet, housing a Zip Water instant hot/cold/sparking system and a Miele coffee machine. Hinge-less doors lead to additional storage and basement access. Custom built-ins store board games and extra blankets. A bespoke side Dutch door welcomes guests from the front porch with a touch of old-world charm, accentuated by an exquisite original stained glass window, lovingly restored. The first floor powder room was upgraded to a full bathroom. Gracing this intimate space is an antique dresser transformed into a vanity, topped with a marble vessel sink, presiding elegantly before a mesmerizing olive glossy subway statement tile wall, reminiscent of a bygone era brought gracefully into the present.
